STAR FM – ON TASMANIA’S BEAUTIFUL EAST COAST
STAR FM is a full power community radio station centred in St Helens broadcasting principally to the East Coast and Fingal Valley areas.
STAR FM commenced broadcasting in April 2002 on 93.7 and 100.3. In October 2005 STAR FM installed a new transmission site in Bicheno to extend its broadcast south along the coast using the frequency 98.5.
Covering a vast broadcast area, we have three FM frequencies:
93.7 Pyengana to Beaumaris; including St Helens, Binalong Bay, Akaroa
100.3 Scamander, Falmouth, St Mary’s, Four Mile Creek, Chain of lagoons, through the Fingal Valley to Conara
98.5 Bicheno, Swansea, Coles Bay, Lake Leak.
As no other viable radio station is sufficiently audible for the majority of townships within the East Coast and Fingal Valley region, STAR FM can boast virtual exclusivity to its sponsors and listeners and is the best option available in this region for promoting your business.
