Mary-Anne is a volunteer with many local organizations, one of course being Star FM.

Back when Star FM, or Break O’Day FM as it was then known, began, Mary-Anne was the very first announcer on air along with Sam Anglesea, yes, she has been here right from the start, and her experience, dedication and knowledge all contribute to her addictive radio programs.

Mary-Anne’s three programs cover a broad cross section: Monday afternoons are Easy Listening, Tuesday morning she rocks us out of bed with her bright and lively breakfast show and it’s very special on Wednesday nights with Thanks for the Memory, a walk back in time to the music of the 30s, 40s and 50s.

Mary-Anne’s own favourite genres include Rock’n’Roll & the musicals and we all know one of her favourite songs is Rod Stewart’s These Foolish Things.

According to Mary-Anne, the best part about being a volunteer radio announcer is the community involvement, but she also simply loves the radio and announcing. On the other hand, the 5:15 starts for the brekky show aren’t so crash hot apparently!

Mary-Anne has a background full of music. She has been involved with many musical productions in between managing motels and fruit picking, but deep down, Mary-Anne Wadsworth has only ever been and is still all about the music. Listen in for Mary-Anne.
